ARTIST STATEMENT:
I was born in India, in 1956. In College of Art, New Delhi, my interest in fine art moved to graphic design and then photography. In 1982 I came to New York City, where I immersed myself in photography. Strong longing for personal growth, and deep interest in philosophical thought, took me out of New York on a "world-wind" tour of soul searching. With a pocket sketchbook and a few watercolors, I wandered the world for my answers on life, death, and other mysteries.
In 1991, from a strong desire to work in three dimensions, there emerged the design studio in Mill Valley, California. Its functional designs, over the years, continue to be much appreciated by connoisseurs like you. I had prayed for every breath to be an expression of the creative spirit. My prayer has been heard through all of you, who continue to find beauty in my work.
